Forward Motion Readers is a series of decodable and engaging books for beginning readers ages 4-8, English language learners, and readers with dyslexia.
Written by an elementary reading specialist with thirty years of experience, the books are specifically written for learning to read. "When parents asked for recommendations for books their child could read at home, I couldn't recommend any books found at libraries and bookstores. They didn't align with the Science of Reading curriculum we use at school. So I decided to write the books myself!" shares Christie Welsby, author of Forward Motion Readers.
Think of Forward Motion Readers as training wheels for your reader: they provide just the right amount of support for whatever time is needed. The books complement any systemic phonics used in schools, and fit just as easily at home as they do in the classroom.
Presented in the chapter book format so many readers enjoy, Forward Motion Readers are designed to be decodable books for all.
